Civil

The Civil Office processes papers from the Clerk of Court, private attorneys, citizens, and businesses, that deal with the civil judgments or actions. These types of documents need to be served upon a person or persons by a deputy sheriff. These papers include original notices, certified notices (bad check notices), wage garnishments, subpoenas, warrants for arrest, and other orders of the Court.

Sheriff's Sales

The Civil Office is responsible for condemnations, sheriff's sales, weapons permits to purchase, and concealed weapons permits. There are set fees for these types of civil processes.

Sgt. Bill Fiordelise is assigned to this department. Feel free to contact this office at 319-653-6651 during normal business hours.

Sheriff's Sales are held in the lobby of the Sheriff's Office at 10:00 a.m.
