[ARCHIVED] Public Quote Announcement - Demolition of Building for Washington County

Washington County, Iowa, is requesting public proposals for the demolition of a house located at 302 W. Main Street, Washington, IA.  The house is being removed to allow for possible future improvements to Washington County facilities. 

Quotation packets containing information regarding the conditions for the demolition contract are available at the Washington County Auditor’s Office at 222 W. Main Street.  Anyone submitting a proposal for the above listed property must agree in writing to meet the conditions set by Washington County.

Sealed quotations are due on or before 4:00 P.M. on November 3, 2017, in the County Auditor’s Office at 222 W.  Main Street, Washington, Iowa.  Interested contractors may contact the County Auditor for additional details or to schedule a visit of the property.

The Washington County Board of Supervisors will hold a public meeting to review and act on the proposals for demolition on November 7, 2017 at their board meeting scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.  At that time, the Board of Supervisors may accept the proposals and award the sale to the contractor whose application is the most advantageous to the citizens of the County.  The County may reject any and all proposals in its sole discretion.  The County may waive any discrepancies or technicalities associated with said proposal.
