Washington County has reopened the bridge on 297^th Street northeast of Crawfordsville.  It had previously been closed for a repair project on the bridge abutments by Iowa Bridge and Culvert, L.C.  The project consisted of driving additional piling and installing supplemental bents just inside the existing abutment.  This repair and patching allows the weight restrictions on the bridge to be removed.  Additional rip rap was placed around both abutments to help protect them from any scouring.  To view the official press release please follow the link below.
