Washington County Ambulance Services is comprised of 29 dedicated individuals. We are certified at a Critical Care Paramedic level service. Answering ~2,500 calls for service annually. Our staff consist of Critical Care Paramedics, Paramedics, Advanced EMTs, Emergency Medical Technicians and Certified Billing Coders.  We are the only 24/7 Ambulance service in Washington County. 

Our Primary 911 Service area covers all of Washington County's 567 square miles and over 22,000 residents and visitors. We have mutual aid agreements with surrounding counties and agencies including Louisa, Jefferson, Henry, Keokuk & Johnson Counties along with many other EMS services to provide tiers or additional help when needed.

We staff two Advanced Life Support Ambulances 24/7/365, with one in each of our Districts. We have capabilities to call in staff to have up to 5 ambulances in service.
