Duties & Responsibilities

The Auditor's Office works to maintain accurate real estate records of current property ownership within Washington County for taxation purposes.

The Real Estate Administrator is responsible for checking and researching titles and legal descriptions; transferring property ownership: filing surveys to be recorded; and keeping plat maps and transfer books current.

  • Secondary Roads Books
The Real Estate Administrator is also responsible for administration and enforcement of Washington County's Subdivision Ordinance. Information about the Subdivision Ordinance, regulations and applications can be found on the Planning & Development Page.
